Dr. Bucas Sterling III
Pastor Bucas Sterling III, is a born again Christian who loves the Lord with all his heart, soul and mind and is determined to serve Him with his all. He is a lifelong resident of Prince Georges County, Maryland, and has been happily married to his lovely wife, Carolyn, since December of 1983. The Lord has blessed them with three wonderful children – daughters, LaTonya and Virtré, and son Tori, two sons-in-law, William and Rick and four grandchildren, Jasmine, Jordan, Sterling, and Corarri. Pastor Sterling attended Prince George’s Community College, University of North Dakota and Washington Bible College and holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Pastoral Theology. He is also a graduate of E. K. Bailey Ministries Expository Preaching and has attended educational studies through Proclaimers Place at Georgetown College, Georgetown Kentucky and Oxford University, Oxford England. He served four years with the United States Air Force.Pastor Sterling’s ministry vision includes reaching the world with the gospel of Christ through the doors God opens for us while deliberately making disciples. He has been serving God, in the Spirit of excellence, as Senior Pastor of Kettering Baptist Church since April 2000. His prior ministry service includes thirteen years at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Lanham MD, where for six years he served full time as Assistant Pastor. He also served at the House of Prayer in Grand Forks, North Dakota where he began fulfilling his ministry calling in 1985.He has also been serving in roles with the Baptist Convention of Maryland Delaware (BCMD) including serving on BCMD’s New Day Relations Committee and on the African American Advisory Counsel of the Executive Committee, Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), as well as the Committee to Nominate Members of the General Mission Board, Trustees, and Directors of Institutions and Agencies of the Convention. He is currently serving as the secretary of the National African American Fellowship, SBC and as an assessor on North American Mission Board’s Church Plant Assessment Team. Pastor Sterling has received many awards to include but not limited to: the C.H. Spurgeon Award Finalist in preaching from the Billy Graham School of Southern Seminary; the Metropolitan Who’s Who in Religion; and the National Register of Who’s Who among business professionals. He also received recognition from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and the Billy Graham School of Evangelism for church growth in the top 3% of all Southern Baptist churches. He was honored with a citation from the Governor of the State of Maryland in appreciation of his outstanding services to the citizens of Maryland and most recently, he was honored by WPRS 104.1FM as one of the top 20 pastors in the DC Metropolitan area. Pastor Sterling’s goal is to accomplish his ministry vision which is to reach the world with the gospel of Christ through doors God opens while deliberately making disciples and edifying the community in areas of need. He presently has a radio ministry to spread the Word of God locally and nationally through WAVA 105.1FM and Family Talk Sirius XM 131, and has provided the opportunity to listen online 24/7. Pastor Sterling is a world traveler who has served on missions and encouraged others in serving both nationally and internationally. He has committed his life to being a shepherd over God’s people and to preaching the full gospel of Jesus Christ in its entirety. He has said, “I will stand on God’s word and preach the gospel even if I have to stand all by myself.”

Rev. Dr. Myrtle E. Jones
Rev. Dr. Myrtle E. Jones is Senior Pastor of the Word For Life Church Ministries (WFLCM) of Temple Hills, Maryland, a young thriving church, which she has pastored with her husband, Rev. Dr. Freddie L. Jones since 2006.
Dr. Jones is a former associate minister, former ordained deacon, instructor at Ark of Safety Christian Church Bible College and Calvary Christian College; and former Minister of Music. Dr. Jones is the founder of the Deborah Fellowship – a fellowship organized to nurture, encourage, and support women in ministry.
She has held several prominent positions during the course of her career, including Chief Administrator for the Children of Promise Christian Academy in Forestville, Forestville, MD; Co-Founder and President/CEO of Maryland Prevention Institute, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization; Town Administrator for the Incorporated Town of Capitol Heights, Maryland; and she retired from the Government of the District of Columbia after nearly thirty years, serving in various executive level positions, including Mayoral Cabinet Member and other managerial positions. Dr. Jones is Founding Vice-President of the National Association of Black Public Administrators (NABPA) Washington, D.C. Chapter.
Dr. Jones holds a Masters of Theology and a Doctorate in Ministry from Calvary Christian College in Waldorf, Maryland. She is a graduate of Senior Executive Management Training at Harvard University; and she earned a Bachelor of Arts in history at Norfolk State University.
Dr. Jones is married to Dr. Freddie L. Jones. They are the parents of Yolanda Jones of Bowie, MD and Madison L. Jones of Atlanta, GA. They are the proud grandparents of James, Kennedy, and Fallon. She stands on the guiding Scripture “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13.
